Andrew started with R&V in 2022, progressing to Group Health & Safety Manager in July 2023 and he is based in Buckley. As a former Combat Engineer in the British Army and with 25 years’ experience of health and safety within various sectors, Andrew brings a broad understanding of the safety needs of a business but also the importance of involving the team to generate a positive culture towards safety. Andrew loves the outdoors, is an enthusiastic mountain biker and a passionate Welsh Rugby supporter, following the local semi-professional team of RGC.
Carl has twenty five years’ experience in the industry working with some of the largest companies of their time and joined R&V in 2015 as an Installer however his enthusiasm, passion and dedication to the R&V Group meant he was appointed to Contracts Manager in November 2016 and promoted to Installations Director in 2018. Carl is field based yet you will see him in both manufacturing facilities. He is responsible for the smooth operational running of Installations and other field based roles and says “the teams in place within the departments are built with people of excellence which are essential for the company to grow and expand as it has and continues to do so.” Carl has 3 children who he loves to spend time with outside of work.
Chris is the Production Manager for the Buckley site, joining the group in October 2019. From the age of 16 Chris has been involved in Production and Manufacturing, initially completing an Apprenticeship in Polymer Science whilst working for the Icon Polymer Group then spent 11 years working for Rehau Ltd at the Anglesey factory. In his free time, Chris is a fan of watching Rugby (Union and League), having hung up his boots in 2017. He also enjoys the odd round of golf whenever he has the opportunity.
Dave started with R&V in May 2017 as Production Manager at the Buckley factory and quickly progressed to Production Director, responsible for both Buckley and Tredegar manufacturing facilities. He is based in Buckley. His background is predominantly within the fenestration industry and in the main all things production however has experience of running installation teams too. Dave is an old Mod at heart, enjoying the Scootering scene, Northern Soul and Liverpool FC, not forgetting his family and countless animals he has acquired over the years.
Gavin is based in Europlas Buckley, has been with the Group since July 2016 and has a 20+ year background in the PVCu industry. Gavin says “I have always thought that people are the most important asset in any company and at Europlas we have, I believe, the best team in the industry and I am very proud to be part of that team.” Gavin’s other team are made up of his wife and two daughters and his other passion besides his family and work is Manchester United FC.
Janice is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with 35+ years’ experience both within practice and industry with roles as an Accountant, Auditor and Associate and is the Finance Director and Company Secretary of the R&V Group. Janice is based in Buckley. Having been employed by R&V since May 2014, her association with the Company began more than 2 years prior as an external accountant visiting our premises to prepare monthly management accounts.
Jonathan started working for R&V in February 2020 and is based in the Tredegar office. He has worked in many industries for the past 20 years which has provided a range of experience within Health & Safety and Quality. Jonathan is married with 1 daughter and enjoys walking, reading & following Welsh rugby.
Karen started with the R&V Group in 2018 having previously worked in the windows and doors industry and has experience in Production too. Karen is based in Tredegar and looks after the Processing and interface between the Systems and the Production Department. She is married with two children and a grandchild. She says “my family are my world and I enjoy spending as much time with them as I possibly can”.
Kevin joined the Business as a Partner on 3rd January 2001 to create a window manufacturing facility (in a 3,500sq ft industrial unit with a basic, start up machinery package) that would service the new build market. Initially there was 5 employees including the 2 partners. He bought his Partner’s shares on 12th May 2012. Today the R&V Group have around 20,000sq ft of trade counters (Europlas), over 160 employees, approximately 38,000sq ft of factory space and almost 30 subcontract installers. Kevin’s is an avid Celtic supporter and his partner is Rebecca McClure, the Commercial Director.
Matthew started with the R&V Group in November 2020 having previously worked in a similar role for the past 17 years. He is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment in both factories and is based in Tredegar. Matthew is married with two children and in his spare time enjoys travelling, reading and mountain biking.
Peter is the Production Manager for the Tredegar factory in South Wales and joined the R&V Group in October 2016. Peter has worked in the window industry for 40 years starting in the joinery side and then moving into the PVCu side, working in all aspects of these areas. Peter has 3 children and 6 grandchildren and outside of work classic ford cars are a hobby of his.
Rebecca, known to everyone as Beck, began her journey in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor in Norfolk before joining the R&V Group in 2002 as a Contracts Manager where she spent over 7 years in the field managing installation teams, dealing with sites and all trades to facilitate installations. Beck moved to a more office based role in 2009 where she managed Contracts and Customer Care among many other areas. In 2021, Beck moved to become the Director of the newly formed Commercial Department. Beck loves nothing more than spending quality time with her family and their 2 dogs.
Rob started out working for Xerox as a Systems Analyst before starting his own IT Support business in 2003. In 2005 he began working as an external IT consultant for Rooms and Views, providing IT support and services. Due to the successful and continued growth of the R&V Group, in February 2021 he transitioned to become a permanent employee, taking on the role of IT Manager. Outside of work, Rob enjoys travelling and Formula 1, especially when he can combine the two. He is also in training for his Private Pilot License (PPL) at Liverpool airport.
Rob started his journey into the wonderful world of windows in 1997 and joined R&V in 2005. Rob has had a varied career from Fabricator to Office Manager and became Systems Director in 2018, seeing the company significantly grow and go from strength to strength during his time. Rob is happily married with two step children and one new kid on the block, little Ronnie, that keeps his life busy. If he has any spare time Rob likes to follow Manchester United or break out his rods for a spot of fishing, or when he can, get to the golf course.
Simon started with the R&V Group in October 2014 and is predominantly based in the Buckley Europlas branch. Coming from a trained electronic production management background, he moved into PVCu window & door production management in 1998 for a large national fabricator, until a change of direction into developing trade counters for the same group in 2006. Simon says “the most important thing in business is our people and we need to make the time to speak to them!”. Simon is married with 2 sons and a daughter, who take up most of his time outside work, alongside his passion of coin collecting.
